Dev Role

The first iteration on OpenCart was configured with domain-specific categories (proteins, amino acids, creatine, vitamins, equipment). The product pages include detailed nutritional information, recommended dosages, and regulatory warnings.

The migration to WordPress/WooCommerce preserved the entire catalog and order history. The custom WooCommerce theme reproduces the shopping experience of the OpenCart version, but the WordPress back office is far more accessible for a non-technical user. The retailer now manages their catalog, promotions, and orders in complete autonomy.

Technical architecture

Phase 1: OpenCart heavily modified for a supplements catalog.

Integration of nutrition-specific product categories.

Phase 2: Migration to WordPress with WooCommerce.

Preservation of the catalog and customer data during the migration.

jQuery interface with a design tailored to the market.
