Connected video-surveillance system: live viewing from any device, automatic camera provisioning, and a centralized administration portal. Designed to scale.
The project aimed to build a connected video-surveillance infrastructure able to handle a wide range of IP cameras across varied use contexts. Each context had its own constraints in terms of usage, connectivity and deployment.
The main challenge was automation. Installing and configuring cameras at scale requires being able to provision them remotely, without any physical intervention on site. The system had to let an operator connect a new camera, configure it through its web interface, and get it working in a few minutes instead of several hours.
The architecture was designed to scale, from a handful of test cameras to a large production fleet. Live viewing works in any modern browser via WebRTC, with no plugin or additional software, which considerably simplifies deployment on the user side.
Live multi-camera viewing from any browser via WebRTC, with no plugin.
Automatic camera provisioning: remote configuration with no physical intervention.
Centralized administration portal with tracking of each camera's status and streaming sessions.
Multi-product architecture adaptable to various use and deployment contexts.
Designed for progressive scaling, from a small test fleet to a large-scale deployment.
WebRTC in the browser, no plugin
