Complete migration of an Angular application to React with Redux and Webpack

A client had an aging web application that was slow and hard to evolve. Migrating to modern technologies transformed the user experience, with reduced load times and a smoother interface.

The Angular application worked well, but the development team was increasingly struggling to hire Angular developers at reasonable rates. The pool of React candidates was significantly larger, and maintenance costs were starting to exceed the planned budget.

The migration to React was planned to minimize service interruptions. Each module was migrated individually, tested and deployed before moving on to the next. At no point did users lose access to a feature. Once the migration was complete, hiring developers for maintenance was much simpler.

What was delivered

Load times were significantly reduced thanks to the progressive loading of components.

Navigation became smooth and responsive, improving the experience for the application's daily users.

The new architecture makes it possible to add features faster, accelerating future evolutions.

The migration was carried out progressively, with no service interruption for existing users.
